Start your day with a beautiful sunrise over the river- breathing fresh mountain air and listening to the river roar. You have access to our quaint farm, so spend your morning hiking, fishing, and meeting the animals! With just a quick drive, you can adventure to surrounding towns to experience the culture of WNC before returning to your private, peaceful sanctuary. Wind down for the evening with Biltmore wine or some local craft brews. Fully stocked for pups, too! Romantic getaway perched above the French Broad River. 1 bedroom with a super comfy King Bed, living room, kitchenette, and bathroom. Sprawling porch to enjoy the river. Hosts 2 adults comfortably. Can sleep up to 4 with option for additional air bed. Fully stocked kitchen with local wine and craft beer, coffee, tea, & breakfast/snack bar, complete with fresh honey and eggs, straight from our farm. You have full and private access to your house, driveway, and firepit. You are welcome to explore the surrounding property and 50-acre farm at your leisure. We have additional rentals on the property if you have additional guests in your party! GENTLE REMINDER: Western NC roads are inherently curvy, hilly, narrow, and even steep at times. The access road to the cabin is a well-maintained gravel road and is a bit hilly and curvy in several places. 4 wheel drive is recommended in inclement weather. Our family lives and works on the farm. We are available to help as you need but want to give you as much privacy as you desire! Located at the beautiful French Broad River Farms. Get a sneak peak of the farm as you drive the last half mile up to Blue Heron. You can drive, walk, hike, or ride bikes around the property! There is a ~1/2 mile gravel road to the cabins. 4 Wheel Drive is not necessary but is recommended during inclement weather. Road may be impassable during inclement weather without 4WD-- we can shuttle you and take care of any issues, should they arise. We provide farm-fresh eggs from our chickens, honey from our bees, Biltmore wine, a local selection of craft brews, coffee, tea, butter, oatmeal, and some snacks for hiking! If for any reason you would like us to remove any products from the cabin prior to arrival, just let us know. 7 miles to Weaverville. 11 miles to Asheville. 25 miles to Hot Springs.

French Broad River Farms
225 Embler Two Road
Alexander, NC 28701
Embler Two Road dead ends at the top of our driveway, where there are 2 sets of stone gates and a sign reading "French Broad River Farms". Go through the stone gates on your left with the gravel road (Riversong Way). Continue slowly down the gravel drive. Just after the pond, keep to the left at the fork.
Continue following the gravel road. You’ll reach another fork in the road at the top of the hill-- veer left. You will see a blue gate propped open with a stick-- continue right on the gravel loop to your cabin! Blue Heron is the 1st cabin on your left. Lofty Ledges is the 2nd cabin on your left.
Cars traveling downhill typically have right of way. There are turn-outs you can use as needed.
GENTLE REMINDER: Roads in the Western North Carolina Mountains are inherently narrow, curvy, and steep at times. The access road to the cabins is a well-maintained gravel road, and is a bit hilly in several places. Four-wheel-drive is absolutely NOT required, but is recommended in inclement weather.
